Solicitors Act 1974: where the claimant had authorised his solicitors to accept a settlement offer in respect of his personal injury claim, and the respondent solicitors had included in their letter setting out the terms of settlement details of their profit costs and disbursements to be deducted from the settlement sum, the agreement was binding and the claimant was precluded from seeking a s 70 assessment of costs.
