[2015] 6 Costs LR 917
Calculation of costs disallowed on an assessment of a solicitor's bill under the Attornies and Solicitors Act 1843 (a forerunner to the Solicitors Act 1974) for the purpose of deciding who was the successful party under the one sixth rule then in force: both costs taxed off and costs struck out of the bill for want of a retainer were to be included in the calculation, no distinction to be drawn any longer following the passing of the Act, between costs struck out of a bill and costs taxed off.
